Booknuttery is a journal dedicated specifically to literature -- the reading of books, the writing of novels and everything in between. Currently most of booknuttery deals with the novel I'm writing -- a fantasy type adventure story that keeps smacking into block after block.

I'm adding the character of Calla. I'm almost on Page 20 and have surpassed 10,000 words. I've kind of become stuck -- I think there might be too little action.
I refuse to start again though, so I'm just going to write and hope everything can be worked out in the editing process. I think that some of the characters need further development as well, but I know most of them well enough to write about them with certain levels of intimacy and difference of speech. Blah blah blah. 03:58 p.m. }} Monday, June 16, 2003 Okay, so I suck.In other news, the novel is going better than ever! Yay for the accidental deletion! I'm on page 11 currently, 5,535 words and counting. The characters I've decided to stick with are: Willow Gray, Zahra Nightshade, George Brink, Field (or Mr. Field) and Ambrose. I've got a plot thats loads more solid, characters that are more fleshed out than previous and I've even (dork that I am) made a very messy, back-of-a-napkin-type map of the teeny tiny town of Black Rock, where the first part of the story takes place. I'm taking a momentary break right now, since my brain is getting worse than mushy, but then its back to the ol' novel until I reach at least page 20.
