.booknuttery
You looked lost, madame.
.booknuttery (a spur of the moment name, you see.) is meant to revolve entirely, completely and wholeheartedly around books. Book collections, book links, bought books, sold books, good books, horrible, hellishly bad books. Its a veritable book nerd journal full of all the impossibly cheesy books one might ever want to, be forced to, or perhaps wisely shun -- to read.
Its not meant to be anything more then what it is -- what it is being a sort of catalog for all the books I have, am reading, am buying, am thinking about. Due to this rabid book obsession I figured I needed a diary, a log, a place in which to place all these things I'm reading -- the daily ramblings of some good (or terribly Not-Good) writer that I digest every single day.
And so that, my dears, is precisely what .booknuttery is for. (And please excuse the name.)
Further Updating: Currently, I'm using .booknuttery as a record of my possible success/shameful failure for NaNoWriMo.
Links of Some Interest, I Guess:
- NaNoWriMo
- Greyduck.net (a fellow wrimo.)
+more eventually.

Ashling.
I only just finished the last pages of 'Ashling' by Isobelle Carmody. (link)
It truly sucks, however, that I'll have to wait so very, very long to read 'The Keeping Place' and the fifth (and please God) final installment.
The series is fairly well and good and special, but it gets a bit trying when entire years pass before the suspense is satiated.
For now, though, in my fleece bathrobe and wet hair (where the hell is my hairdryer??) I'm going to pick up my recently purchased copy of 'Wit'ch Star' by James Clemens and finish that tremendously good series once and for all.
(...and there's a terrific chance I'll get through it too, given the state of my insomnia these days.)

editing.
I've decided to edit first before going any further.. it'll give me a better idea about where I am in the story, and where exactly I completely screwed up.
Things are looking better in novel terms, I'd say, anyway.

erk.
The novel isn't going so well.
Every time I start I begin to get bored -- and, even, begin to loathe my character even more.
[sigh].. I'm afraid I keep writing her as a slightly retarded heroine whom the other characters hand answers to with blissful patronization.
Complete.
Novel.
Overhaul.

Back to the ol' grindstone
I think I'm about ready to restart work on the ol' novel. I was a little burnt out for awhile.. we'll see how it goes. Right now Ava is confronting the Ebony King.
Btw, among editing changes, I've been contemplating changing the entire character of Ava Loams. Rather than that name (which I've honestly begun to loathe), I may make her name Zahra, and Zahra's name something else.
That would require an awful large editing overhaul though, so I'll have to think about it...
